Myriad studies have confirmed the advantages of krill oil compared to fish oil.  In one study, participants received either fish oil or a much smaller dose of krill-based EPA/DHA.  The krill group reached the same EPA/DHA blood levels as the fish oil group ... at less than 2/3 the dosage!

     Another trial was reported in the Journal of the American College of Nutrition.  Subjects took 300 mg of krill oil or a placebo and had their C-Reactive Protein (CRP) levels measured at 7 and 14 days.  CRP is a blood level marker that indicates your level of risk from damaging inflammation.

     After 7 days, the placebo group saw their CRP levels increase by 15.7% and after 14 days, they saw their CRP levels jump a shocking 32.1%.  But after 7 days, the krill oil group's CRP levels dropped 19.3%, and by 14 days, down 29.7%!

     Krill oil also helps reduce dangerous cholesterol.  A 12-week, double-blind, randomized study of 120 patients showed that those taking 1 gram of krill oil saw LDL "bad" cholesterol drop by as much as 32.03%.  Subjects taking 3 grams of fish oil had only a 4.56% drop in LDL, and the placebo group had a mere 13.03% reduction.

     Other research has shown even more difference between krill and fish oils, with krill oil lowering LDL cholesterol by up to 55%, while fish oil achieving drops of only 5%.  That's 11 times more cholesterol reduction with krill oil than with fish oil!

Resveratrol-Helps To Both Prevent And Treat Cancer

     Austrian researchers found that resveratrol decreases the ability of cancer cells to metastasize into bone by 30 to 71%, especially breast, pancreas and renal cancer.

     Linoleic acid, a primary component of our overly processed Western diet, converts to a hormone-like compound that triggers inflammatory reactions proven to promote cancer cell growth.  In fact, numerous animal studies have shown that linoleic acid causes colon cancer in rodents.  Japanese researchers found that resveratrol suppressed the growth of breast cancer cells by inhibiting the negative effects of linoleic acid.

     A study published in the journal, Experimental Biology and Medicine, reported that resveratrol lessens the side effects of chemotherapy, such as fatigue, anxiety, anorexia, cachexia (wasting syndrome), depression, insomnia, delirium, cognitive dysfunction and neuropathic pain.  Increasing evidence suggests that chronic inflammation leads to diseases such as cancer, and that anti-inflammatory compounds, such as resveratrol can help control chronic inflammation, as well as symptomatic reactions to traditional chemotherapy treatments.
